"slow" mods? (RTW)

I've been playing the Fourth Age Total War and it's a great mod, but I'm kind of burned out a bit so I went to look around for another mod to download.

I downloaded EB (Europa Babarorum) and even though it is a great mod, I'm removing it tomorrow because I'm NOT going to sit through two minutes (timed it) at the end of each turn for the factions to finish their moves and then more agonizingly slow load times for going into battles and back into the campaign. Screw that, I was about to pull out what little hair I have staring at my screen in frustration as I'm just waiting not able to do anything.

I used to have XGM (Extended Greek Mod) I'm thinking of downloading it again since I used to play it a lot so I'm guessing it must of not been as bad as EB on the load times, but I can't remember for sure since it's been months. Anyone here play it and how long is the load time?

If not do you guys know of any good mods that play smoothly? By that I mean you don't spend as much or more time loading and waiting between turns than you do actually playing.

I don't really know, I have played a lot of mods and they all run slow. Then again I also have a crappy comp.

Total Realism doesn't trouble me much with turn times.

Runs fine for me too. Stainless Steel 6.0 runs fine too.

That one doesn't take too long.

But I play EB as it is one of the BEST EVER, despite the longer load times. It's called deferred gratification. Playing the game and fighting battles are that much more enjoyable after the wait.

My thinking is that it's your computer. While the load times are kind of long for me also, it's less than two minutes.
