Slow turn processing back again

AI turn processing times are back to being very long since this most recent patch.

The culprit seems to be a lag when doing actions which consume units, like building cities, etc. The game lags for 2-5 seconds before the action takes place. Multiply this by however many AI players you have doing things and the turn processing times have gone way up.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? I’m playing on very large maps with 24 players. No performance issues prior to the patch.

jep, exactly the same for, slow turn time, and worse performance then pre-patch - don't know if civ is the problem, or win10 1803, but on bigger maps with around 20 players, it's not really fun - was a lot better before

I ran into this last night. Playing a large map with 14 Civs. The game plays fine for about 8-10 turns and then slows to a crawl. Everything gets terribly slow - clicking on a unit, moving a unit, attacking... the response and animations slow down to a crawl as do the turn times. Is that what you guys are seeing? If I save and reload the game, its fine again for some time and the issues start over. Did not have this issue pre patch.

Many of the game's processes have become slower in general. In my current game it took several minutes for it to register a change in city state envoys which caused the game to sit there and be unresponsive to any inputs. I don't understand how they can let these issues appear again after seemingly fixing them and then expect players to wait several months for a fix.

It's called Regression in Software Engineering.

I've found a workaround for the slowdown: just F5 then F6 (quick save + quick load) to restart the game.

Perhaps this is some memory leak. Generally when apps slow down like that it's not so much a routine but something consuming a ton of memory slowing everything else?
