Slowdown...

Does anyone notice a slowdown within the game after playing for some time? I notice the combat animations and other animations become slow motion after -let's say- an hour or more of play time. My system information is below:

Windows XP Pro SP2
Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
DNA-ATi 4.3.5.9 drivers
Athlon XP 2800+
1.5gb of RAM
2x 120 SATA HDs

1.52 patch

Get the 1.52 patch. The early versions obviously have some type of memory leak. 1.52 supposedly fixed most of them. I really couldn't tell, as I upgraded my vid card and tripled my RAM before I ran Civ w/1.52, but it didn't slow down.

It sounds like there still is a leak. Your PC is fine, it's the program that's screwy. Better luck with the next patch and sorry I couldn't be any more help.
