Does any one know or at least guess the story from the game (not the mike Ely books).

All I know is that the spartains and the Gains(sp?) had a war
and deride spoke to Planet

Sparta was annihilated (I havent read the books other than the journy to centauri one). I'd guess morgan made it well into the game...

When you dicover 'Retroviral Ingeneering', you hear this soundfile of an outraged University 'Second Provost' who complains about someone who want to search his quarters for retroviral stuff, and he calls it a witch hunt. Could this be something?
Also, the Spartan base Assasins Redoubt was overrun by mindworms at some point, the last transmission from it was

A nursery rhyme. Very innocuous in itself, but when you combine it with that disturbing video (the only videotape that's disturbed me for a long time, not counting National Geographic's animal documentaries), it gives a very effective impression of insanity.

This is my favorite one. I was actuallying thinking of turning it into my Window Start sound.

I thought that too when I first started playing, but now think it is "On/Off". If its not, I think it should. It sounds funnier
