And if I remember correctly, I killed only one Bushi and one Daimyo in the entire game

No, IMHO you should make it a larger map.

I also like standard better than small (I'm more the builder type than the warmonger type...).
However, when I signed up for this, I was looking for shorter game. (Some of my other games, like CHEBA, already have the potential to become really long-drawn epic games.)

Hmm. I'm ok with standard, if we leave accelerated production on. (Then even a standard map should be pretty fast-progressing, so that's ok for me.)
