They are newer than the 1st one. I think they have been added after Flamand spoke with Thunderfall about something special for the winners of the Civ3 Monthly Competitions. I might be wrong, though.

For the first time I read one of these threads. It was a surpisingly quick read for being 18 pages.

As for smilies we don't need, this one comes to mind:

I think we need one of these in the smiley list, sarcasm often seems to go undetected.

What's the point of using sarcasm if you have to EXPLAIN it with a sign?
True sarcasm needs not to be explained, it sort of takes the sting out of it. Sarcasm without a sting is not sarcasm.

Sometimes sarcasm needs to be explained in this forum though. Since you can't use inflections to indicate sarcasm the way you can when you talk.

I think we've all seen posters have to explain themselves after someone misunderstood and overreacted to a comment that was meant to be sarcastic.

It would probably work best inside spoiler tags most of the time though.
