Stuck - I think Aureus and Peguinadua are our best bets for alternative Wonder builders, in that order. But both are going to need irrigation of the grasslands and mining in the hills. Both have water available close and both have workers in the general vicinity. But they will not be Wonder builders without the needed work. Well, Aureus is presently close to Gorina in terms of shield output, thanks to it's supply of cattle, but in order for it to contend with future Wonder builders, it will need work. Penguinadua needs those three workers to irrigation on the grasslands now (non-Bonus tiles) and then mine some of those hills (maybe a Saltpeter mine?)

So is the general consensus here that we should keep the CO in Memphis and start the pre-build for STC with the shields stockpiled for the Marketplace in Gorina?

Sounds good to me.

I would, however, have to take slight issue with Stuck's statement that we need to stop trading our techs in order to get the wonders we desire. If we get to Democracy first (which I believe seems pretty certain) we would be crazy not to trade it for other valuable AI favoured techs like Chemistry, Metallury, etc... I will agree though that we do need to be choosy about what we trade, and when we trade it.
