Does the computer get some kind of bonus for its pieces on a sneak attack. It always seems like they will attack with a horseman or something and take out my musketeers behind a city wall or something ridiculous like that. I know I could never win an attack like that in a million years yet the computer will sneak attack and they do it all the time.

well I don't if it has been proven scientifically but there is an attack bonus for sneak attack.Humans also.
Makes sense too, as a sneak attack theoretically catches defenders "off guard"

Yeah, I imagine that a sneak attack has a special variable attached to it which gives the attacker a bonus. Most RPGs I've ever played have such a factor and I imagine civ does too.

I don't get a great bonus when I attack this way. But the Cheat-AI certainly does!

The AI reportedly cheat's alot, so this is probably just another way that it does.
