Here's where we are so far.

That's an abundance of silver at Qazvin.

You can easily run a NES with four people. Most old players tend to lurk on new NESes before joining eventually, if it appears to be a good NES.

I'm a graphic and concept man. People really enjoyed my Sanotria Nes.. I'm sure if the concepts are worked out properly the game should run rather smoothly, and be a great deal of fun =D

You should check out my original Nes =) Just for lolzorz

It still seems very short on details, thats why people will be slow to join.. couple of updates should draw them in. :)

Give it a try:

Egypt, L10, Orange

Situated in the Nile Delta.

EDIT:
@Sanotra: do you have AIM or MSN?

Yes I have MSN =) I was wondering who would jump on Egypt.

I would like everyone to know that there is a giant map that has all the resources on it. As you expand you will draw more and more of these necessary resources within your borders, and the resources will give you different technological options. Players with a lot of wood and not so much metal for example, will do good to learn spearmaking. While those with no wood and a lot of metal, would do good to learn swordsmanship techs.

A full and edited tech tree is on its way. There are resources everywhere, you will be able to scout the lands around you to get an idea of where to expand. If you have not joined yet, keep in mind that mountains are rich in gold, silver, and metals, while food does not abound.

The terrains each have their own benefits, and if you decide to pick any terrain, you will have certain pros and cons.

Cons:
Scarce resources.
Tundra:

Scarce on stone, and metals.

Santora, eventually the civ color will block out all terrain colors.

Maybe only have the city and border edges colored?

Having a hawkeye on the terrain in this NES doesn't seem too important to the game. For example, the terrain specific resources will be swallowed into the national territory as the borders expand. For example once a deer icon is completely surrounded by a nations borders, it is counted (in a separate graphic) as a permanent food resource, lest a special event happens which erases the resource.

I am already working with like 3 full sized maps, 1 blank with only resources, the other blank tracking only national boundaries, and the main one which combines the terrain, resources, and territories all into one. I may however, if you would like, have a map of just the terrain posted for reference to if there is any confusion.

The Terrain specific player attributes, (eg: Desert Player Weak vs. Tundra Player) apply to any battle between those players so long as the desert is attacking within the tundra players boundaries. If for example, The Tundra player has expanded south into the lush, if a desert player were to squabble with the lush city, the weakness vs. the tundra player would still apply. (Unless that gets too unrealistic >.<)

The Terrain specific territory sizes, will require more careful modification (done on my part), in which if a player expands from a city on dry terrain, to one on lush, the city on the lush would have the smaller territory, while the one on dry maintained its size. I did this to prevent someone from grabbing desert right next to numerous lush or mountainous resources, and then using the territory bonus of desert to grab it all.

Trust me, as soon as you hit update 6, three maps will be kinda dull :p Then Gimp is better.

You have to use both to have proper maps though. Gimp's paint tool isn't as terrible as paints, therefore it ironically lacks quality when working with NES maps.

Aaaah this is so cool, the ruleset is so interesting.

Is it too late to join?
