I see you, Ailed, Gangnam, and probably Civ'ed. Terran might as well. That leaves the rest of the game not paying attention to it. Mind you, I wouldn't mind GMing for 5 people, but it seems a bit pointless when 3 of them are in the Balkans and 1 is in Egypt
Balkans are the best region in the world. They deserve an IOT. I say delete all other areas from the map and let only the Balkans, the Middle East and Sudan and North Africa.
I say we continue so that players who have been absent will be punished by facing the Balkan superpowers, who will possibly ignore said absent nation when they get invaded by the glorious Imperial Republic of Sudan!
That or we can find ways of getting new blood into this game. Perhaps a advertising post on Beyond the Lampshade or a VM to a CFCer you feel may be interested in IOTs?

Ahem, you mean that the absent players will be facing the "Balkan superpowers who have elected Sudan as a meatshield." I'm not saying we have anything against Sudan, I personally have invested money in Sudan's development, so yeah, as long as Sudan doesn't get in our way, Sudan will be allowed to play with their boners in the sand or whatever they're doing down there.
but it's a perspective thing. If, for example, a player could actually return in a few update and realise the Tri-Balkanic Alliance controls 51% of the planet, but that would make it more interesting. At least for us.
