Daft those are loverly.. I am starting to understand why such "cutesy" graphics might actuall need a decent computer.
You had any trouble with your internets?
I can't play with lighting or shadows set to 'high', it totally kills the frame rate. Its pretty fast with shadows at minimum. I'm running on a PC with 3GB ram, quad 2ghz, but still being let down by low-end graphics card it came with (Gefore 8400 GS).
I set the game screenshots to 'large', and they tend to look better after I shrink them down, due to auto anti-alias in the paint program I use. Print screen doesn't seem to work reliably, but you can use 'c' key to take pics, as in The Sims 2.
As for the internet, I was able to verify the game and all that on my dial-up, but browsing the online part of Sporepedia is very slow, and uploading my own stuff is very hit-and-miss. Of course, that could be due to server problems right now.

Just to continue my critter's path to civilization:
One generation survived meteor showers, epic creatures and a UFO encounter (saw another friendly lion-man species being abducted, but none of my guys

)
Dunno what these ruins where. Only found one of them on the continent:
The game chose one of my earlier creations for an epic, I thought it looked cool!
Last generation before going to the tribal phase:
Spice surfing!
I enjoyed spending several hours on the creature phase just exploring the continent, after I'd 'won'. I was still finding new species I hadn't met before. I allied several 'rogue' creatures, they were good in fights.
My peaceful tribe is attacked by GoodGame's Bowsertops!
