So, how'd your last game go?

Very well, Late game diplo victory from UN.

Standard Map, Big and Small, 5 civs, two large continents, me as germans sharing largest continent with greeks, take them out in early war. Dutch, Japanese, and Spanish share other continent.

I built Cereal Mills relatively early, spammed my cities but made good money as +200% from buildings in headquarters. Forced other civs to adopt environmentalism from UN, then spammed Cereal mills to them, all Japanese cities at 12g per go, but no luck with dutch and spanish initially as no access to corn, wheat, or rice. Had plans to place execs in all their cities then trade them wheat, spread the corp and gain an extra 12g per city, but finished the game first.

Does anybody know if you still get the gold from the cities when the deal ends?

That would be great, you rake in cash, the corp costs them, but they get no food benefits.

Well, I haven't played for awhile (I go through phases....I just finished a long WoW/CoX phase, followed by a Neverwinter Nights phase and a Sims2 binge) so this is my first Civ 4 game in awhile. On noble level, and I don't think I'm going to win.

I started off as Asoka on a continents map, sharing land with Sulieman and Pericles to my roth and Ragnar and Gilgamesh to the south. I think I wasted time building the great Wall in this game, but I love not having to fight off barbs, and I had a reasonable tech lead for awhile. Pacal is on a different continent though we've met and he's a few techs ahead, and sulieman and i are neck and neck. Ragnar has attacked me twice, but the AP votes end the war rather quickly. (though not before I took a city from him in retaliation.)

I'm going for a space race victory, but it won't be easy. I have to keep an eye on Ragnar since I know he'll try again, and I don't particularly trust the others either. I found an island that no one has colonized off shore, so now i'm racing to get to astronomy so I can get it for myself. Pacal has astronomy but he won't trade it.

Won my first Prince game. 3 continents, 8 civs, epic speed. Vulture rushed Ragnar, Rifle'd Pacal, Infantry'd Abe, and happily teched to a comfy spacerace win with a standard CE.

But now I'm trying my first SE, and it's gonna be bad! I gave Hannibal and Sitting Bull some war chariot to the face, and am going to try and beat a 15 turns clock before Zara gets Feudalism for complete control over my continent. I do not envy the other side of the world once they get a glimpse of this Egyptian navy...
