So theme song stays the same?

Well, I'm quite the fan of Civ 6's theme song, but I remember Civ 4 and 5 getting new theme songs in the expansions. Granted, I always switched back to Baba Yetu anyways....

If you always switch back to the original song, then why should Firaxis spend resources on a new song? New songs are expensive!

I actually liked the Civ4 expansions theme songs, but often I would just switch it back to Baba Yatu. I tried to mix it up. But I am a little bored of this Civ6 theme song at this point, I sometimes keep the volume off until I'm ready to play.

Baba Yetu is so good that I added it to Civ V whenever I played it!

The Civ VI theme song is pretty great as well but I'm a bit tired of it as well. Would've been cool to hear something new but... eh.

Civ V didn't allow you to choose themes, I missed that from Civ IV. I'd have chosen either Civ V vanilla's theme or God & Kings theme. In Civ IV I always choose Baba Yetu of course :)

I used to watch TheGameMechanic on twitch and he'd have Sogno Di Volare playing from right when his stream starts until he starts his game. Now he waits at least 5 minutes for people to arrive then he chats, sometimes it could be 25 minutes before he begins a game. That's 25 minutes of Sogno Di Volare playing over and over, and he'd play it every day without fail.

Needless to say I got burned out on it for a while.

They spent a lot of money commissioning a song from Christopher Tin. :p "Sogno di Volare" is lovely, but a change would be nice. As awesome as Christopher Tin is, I'd have no objection to hearing what Geoff Knorr could come up with for a theme.

I wonder if peope would be able to endure Baba Yetu as much nowadays - with as much exposure to the song as you get with Sogno di Volare: no theme switching, used whenever the franchise is mentioned, and inevitably heard during player streams.

For Civ 4, there are plenty of fans of the other songs too. And Civ 5's best song was in BNW

Yeah, but V didn't have a Christopher Tin theme!

With all the talk of switching, I was reminded of something else. Is there a way to view the other movies now that the GS movie plays at startup?

It would be nice if they played the songs from the RnF and GS cinematic trailers in the main menu along with Sogne di Volare.

I hadn't noticed. I usually don't pay a whole lot of attention to the music. One thing I did note (that's never happened before with any civ) is that I seem to actively dislike the Maori music. It seems to make me agitated and distracted to some degree. I wonder if that's part of the whole war dance thing? The various civ's music is usually either neutral or pleasant to my ear.

I would feel a little agitated if it got replaced. I quite enjoy it and makes the game feel that much more epic, in my opinion. That being said, I do like the old background of the spinning wheel from R&F better than the little natural disaster/storm animations.

Perhaps it was Norway taking one of my widely dispersed cities due to loyalty that was more the culprit.

XP3 needs a retooled Baba Yetu to come full circle.

I get that Sogno di Volare is the Civ VI theme specifically, but Baba Yetu is so transcendent, it needs to be the Civ franchise theme, period.
