Personally, I think it's great.

Only a couple of things broken and/or in need of balancing. A substantial improvement over Civ II.

Anyone who thinks this is broken/unplayable should have tried playing EQ for the first year or so....now there's a broken game.

My first impression of civ3 was "It sux" cuz I lost my first three games in chieftain! (I am a deity player in civ2.)

Now, I have been play it for two weeks and I really appreciate the concept of culture and resource introduced in civ3. I would say that it beats civ2 and all the other games ever created in human history!

The best game I have played since CIV2!
Apart from Caesar 3 and Pharaoh!

C3 is a GOD among games!:goodjob:

Excellent game, but it needs a little tweaking. There are a few bugs and some feats missing. Anyway, I just love this game.

I 100% agree with you! Caesar 3 and Pharaoh are also GREAT games! So's Zeus: Master of Olympus, too. GOTTA LOVE 'EM..

The game is excelent

that's pretty much it

I don't think anyone seriously expected anything from Daikatana though. But the analogy is appropriate in that Ion Storm/Eidos invested WAY too much for what they got in return.
