Software Conflicts

Well after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I think I have narrowed down a major problem.

After installing all the new drivers and the game, my system would crash about every 15 min even after un-installing the game. By working through my start-up programs, I discovered that if I leave all Adaptec programs (Ez-CD, Disk Detector, etc) off, my system will behave normally (only expected Windoze problems), but if I run any of those programs, the crashing returns.

I hope Firaxis and Infogrames look into this as a possible fix in the first patch!

Adaptec sucks. You should get Nero.

Adaptec really is inferior to Nero. Adaptec has too much overhead in system resources and places unneeded strain on my system even when I'm not using it. (I have adaptec on my work computer and nero on home.)
