heya. sorry for the simplicity of this one folks but i can only find answers for PCs. how do you get to see more than 8 other civ leaders in the foreign diplomacy page? i tried shift right click, the answer i found in the PC section, and it didn't work. thanks in advance.

It works for me ......

Or try ctrl-shift clicking on one of the leader heads.

Shift-right click (or Control-right click) only works here on a leader head. Is is supposed to do something anywhere else? BTW, all it does is to display a little popup menu listing the ones you can't see. You can then choose one of those to replace the one you clicked.

i love this site: helpful info and no attitude! i've got another one for you though. i just got espionage and built my intelligence agency. when i click the espionage 'E' on the side of the box on the bottom right of the screen, i don't get any of the new espionage mission options i am supposed to. what am i missing? thanks again.

When you build the Intelligence Agency, you'll notice a little shield on the right-side of the city name (like the star on your capital). Just double-click on the shield and the shadow world of spying opens up.

To be able to have the new espionage options, you must plant a spy in a rival civs capital by following Sids instructions (although its more of a pentagon than a shield). Once you've successfully planted a spy(which doesn't always happen on the first few turns of trying), then click the E, select the country and it will ask you if you want to use your embassy or spy to retrieve information.

there is one thing i don't understand.
On the windoof (=german and means win-stupid) machines you can allocate money to plant a spy, more money higher chance.
On my mac i can only chose to plant a spy and normally the get caught.
How can i increase the chances to plant a spy?

Be a communist. Communism gives you a higher chance of success in espionage.

Are you sure about the cost variable to plant a spy? If you try to steal a tech you get 3 different cost choices.

Be careful with spies. If they get caught you have to wait 4 turns before planting another as they will autoatically get caught!.

Spies are great if you want to goad another civ into declaring war on you. Plant the spy, do actions until they get caught, then plant spies until they declare war.

I like a spy in each civ as that gives me a report on their military strength. However I've found the cost/reward/risk ratio of other espionage actions is too low to be worth it.

In the PTW-Version you got these three choises also when you want to plant a spy.

It took me a while to figure out how to plant a spy. On my Mac I have to right click on the city that has the intelligence agency building then choose espionage from the dropdown window. It is different than it says in the manual (which is USELESS for figuring out commands).
