Some complaints about Abyssinia

This seems to be a spectacular mod (I haven't really had the oppertunity to play this much), though there are several things that bug me about the civs:

- The Abyssinian leader choices. Why are Haile Selassie and Menelik the Abyssinian leaders? If the Abyssinian civ represents Ethiopia at an older time period, then why do we have an Ethiopian leader from the Middle Ages?

- The leaderhead graphics: while I understand it was necessary to use older leaderheads since there was no alternative at the time, but now we have two good leaderheads for Menelik and Haile Selassie, why are we using Mansa Musa and Huayana Capac reskins?

I hope you can answer my problems, and also I can't open the Civilopedia for some reason.

As far as I'm concerned, Ethiopia and Abyssinia are the same civ. It's just a waste of space to make them separate.

I do not think Farsight want thos 2 to be seprated, but more like if he wants at least one leader from Abyssinian time.

I would actually prefer if Abyssinia and Ethiopia be merged, though if Abyssinia will still be in the game, I would prefer if Haile Selassie and Menelik were the Ethiopian leaders, while Zara Yaqob be the Abyssinian leader.

P.S. Why is Haile Selassie referred to as "Selassie"? That's like John Paul II being referred to as "Paul II".

Well, Abyssinia was added to the mod's 2.0 version which was released in april 2008 - so it's been in the mod for a long time and by that time there wasn't available any other leader graphics. Then came the better modular systems and so only a handful new civs were included in the main mod files... I guess I should go through these civs as well and update them for 3.0...

The Ethiopian Empire, also known as Abyssinia, was in what is now Ethiopia and Eritrea. At its height the empire also included Southern Egypt, Eastern Sudan, Yemen and Western Saudi Arabia and existed from approximately 1137 (beginning of Zagwe Dynasty) until 1974 when the monarchy was overthrown in a coup d'etat. It was in its time the oldest state in the world[citation needed], and the only native African nation to successfully resist the Scramble for Africa by the colonial powers during the 19th century.

Just merge them :)

I understand that, I was just wondering why the leaderheads weren't being updated.
