Hi there,
I have a few diplomacy related questions:

1)I'm playing as Alexander, and joined a declaration of war against Arabia made by Germany. Arabia was growing way too fast and was very hostile without any of us doin' anything so I figured it was a good idea since I'm in good terms with the Germans already.

but my Noobiness struck me down :). I was much more powerful and bunkered really well against arabia, and just finished all the troops he sent my way, which were all the troops he had, and then I got foolishly aggressive and started conquering his cities.

Bismarck got mad, denounced me and Arabia is still very hostile even though he has ONE CITY LEFT and I got my nation all around him, so basically he can't do anything to me but he still makes hostile declarations like "you're a plague" and "you're my favorite city-state" and ☺☺☺☺ like that, is the AI really that stupid? or does it depends on the difficulty level?

All in all the question I wanted to ask is how can I be back on good terms with both Arabia and Germany? I tried declarations of friendship and trading open borders and research agreements(although I'm not in need of those)

2) Why don't I ever see options of "Pact of secrecy" and "Pack of Co Operation"

Well thats the beauty of civilization 5 there is no diplomacy the Ai hates you because you are winning So bismark denounce you because you are doing way better then he is...

Just ignore diplomacy until firaxis and 2kgames see there mistake and change this typ of AI but i doubt it...

The problem isn't really the AI, per se. It's that the options are far and few, limited if you will.

It's almost like they were teasing us with an expack from the get-go...

That's a shame... I'm trying to achieve a diplomacy victory. it seems like a very interesting winning situation, since you have to have a very balanced civ with much gold, science, culture and obviously a strong army since you can't go just one way for a diplomacy victory.

oh well, I guess I'll just get some gold, an send it along with small armies to each city state until I have them all as allies and then build the UN right? it sucks to win like this IMHO... but I've already got most of the city-states related policies and I'm playing Alexander :)

A diplomatic victory isn't really diplomatic. It's more of a financial victory. Just build the UN and buy all the support you need, unless you've been able to fulfill the requests of lots of CS to get them allied. Usually it's easier just buying them off.
