Back in those days when I played civ2, I discovered some great scenarios on a commercial CD-ROM.

- one was about the mongols. New settings for the units as well as new unit graphics. The map was huge.
- another one was about alexander the great. A huge map of greek, the middle east and pakistan together with some new units like a big wooden tower to invade cities.
- the last one was also really cool, it was about europe and the meditaranean about 650 AD.

Even without having one turn passed it was just fun to load the scenarios. Watching the historical details (king Dagobert in what is now called france), the landscape, etcetera.

I think it are really good scenarios however they don't appear in the download-database. There is only one about the mongols and as I haven't loaded it I am not sure wether it is the one i mentioned.

I suggest checking the old database; if you find any of your favourite, download if necessary and upload in the new database. (And I think I already uploaded the Mongols scenario you mentioned, but you have to check for yourself.)

Hm... Go up to "Civ2" forum, check the DL Database small-print text: if you read it, you'll notice there are actually 2 DBs. (You can add your fave "old" files to the new DB by downloading, if necessary zipping them into 1 file, and upload them to the "new" DB.)

sorry JEELEN but i still can not find the (old) database :(

edit: found something, but don't have a clue how i got there

scenarios for civ II

edit: I just discovered I got some of those scenarios on my HD. Will install Cv II very soon and see what I can mean for the community.

A friend of mine got Civ II Gold, it enabled him to quickly load scanarios without the hassle of managing files. I probably got some scenarios from him.
