Some quick queries

I have a few queries that I haven't seen answered in the forum as yet:
1. Where can I download a graphic modpack? Any recommended websites etc? How will these affect my GOTM attempts? Will these have any effects on my loaded copy of the game other than changing the graphics? Are they removable?
2. How do I return my finished GOTMs? I'm a little confused about whether you can finish by retiring or just by spaceship/conquest. Either or both?
Sorry if these seem like very basic queries, but I'm new to this excellent forum and would appreciate the help.

Hi there - the graphic Modpacks can be downloaded in the download section of this site - and quite a few of our members have their own sites where you can get more Modpacks - you could also check the links to see what some of the others Civ sites have to offer - as to whether it will affect your GotM then the answer is NO. A graphic Modpack doesn't change the rules your game is played by and therefor has no affect on the GotM!!!

As to your second question then go to the GotM section and read the submit page - basically what you do is to save in 0 AD, 1000AD and the year before you finish, then write down the year, how many points, how you win and what version of Civ you have and send it all to Matrix!!

The thing about conquest/SS/retirement is - as far as I know, that you can only send in games where you have either won, conquest or SS, or games where you have played until 2020AD and retired!! I'm not entirely sure about this because there has been some discussion about it lately but I think that it was agreed upon that you could only retire in 2020AD!! That or you can retire when you want to and it counts as 2020AD!!
