Good day

1. Why, when fouding some corporations, I am sometimes unable to spread the corp on another civ city. It happened with me with Creative construction. Sent a guy on another civ city and the spread button was grayed out.

2. Why, sometimes, I am unable to create a corp guy. I simply don't have the option of creating in my list ?

3. What is the tech I need to able the protection pact between two civs ?

4. What is the point of 3 Gorges marvel. At this point, all your cities already have electricity ?

5. I have a lot of difficulty to figure out which civ has pacts with one another. Seems like the colored lines used to show the relations are bugged. Oftenly, I looked at the lines, there are none, but when I declare war, some civs just instantly declare war on me wihtout notice.

Many thanks

1) Either the Civ was Running Staate Property or Mercantilism (yea, this one is never getting old :D) or the poor dude you tried to spred to did not have a single needed ressource or you had not enought cash (Foreighn spread is a lot more expensive than domestic).

2) Corp guys were elimited to 3 per civ in original BTS release. This limitation was however removed in some of the patches... Do you run Bts 3.13 ?

3) dunno...

4) My cities don't, as i use the hammers for something useful instead if i plan to go for 3GD. You can cut some waiting by beelining the tech a bit. But even if you have power, its proabably the dirty Coal Power :yuck::yuck::yuck: while 3GD will give you cleaner source.

5) Must not allways be a DP. If lots of folks hate you, the AI you declared on will often bribe someone to help. If the folks not hate you that can still happen... Of course they might also be Vassal/Master, but this is kind of hard to overlook...

You can however look waht treaties they have among each other: if you select a leader in the Foreighn Advisor Screen, then mouseover someone else, you will get a popup listing active treaties.

Thanks for this much needed infos

I was not aware that civics allowed or not the implementation of a corporation, but makes sense.

I am not running any patch, because the patch is unnofficial, isn't it ?

As for the 3GD, makes sense as well, that's what I thought.

Thanks for the mouseover tip

Finally, I would like to see the Art Szun marvel from Civ 3. It allowed to upgrade your units at half the price. Do they removed it because it was a gamebreaker ?

There is a offcial BTS 3.13 patch from Firaxis - which you can get via the games "Check for updates" feature (I think within the "Advanced" main-menu point) or perhaps somewhere from the Firaxis website...

The unofficial patch from Bhuric, which you can find here in the forums, can but must not, be use in addition to it (tho i think it is good, despite beeing unofficial).

I loved this one too... No idea why it is gone... Too 'unrealistic' maybe ...

For Permanent Alliances, you need the option checked in Custom Game, you have to have Fascism, and you must have shared a war or Defensive Pact for 50 turns. Then, if the Civ is Pleased, they may agree to a PA.

Sun Tzu art of war in Civ III gave a free barracks to every city ( in continent? not sure... ). Leonardo's workshop allowed upgrades for half the price, and Civ IV clearly thinked that it was OP ( rule of thumb: if you see a wonder in Civ IV that has a similar effect than a Civ II one ,but that comes much later, is a wonder that was considered OP ;) ( see the Internet vs The great Library ) )
