Something is messing up my browsers

For the past month, something has been forcing my internet browsers to stop working after I've been on the internet anytime from 5 to 20 minutes. When that happens, it also causes the shutting down of my computer to take forever.

At the same time, my zone alarm keeps getting errors when trying to connect to the update server. I use zone alarm 8. My system is a HP Pavilion laptop with AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60, 3 gigs of RAM, NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150m graphics card, and windows vista home premium.

You probably have a virus or malware. Run an antivirius, and if it catches nothing, try others.
