does anyone know how long( in turns) it takes, once you launch, to get to alpha centrui: 1 with minimum equipment. 2 with other combinations(ie. 2-4 rockets, 2-4 fuel pods)?

Just by looking at the ship while building it, I really only think you can put a max of 2 propulsion and 2 fuel tanks on it. But that is just by visually studying said spacecraft. You'll might have to look in the civilopedia to get your answer? But I'm guessing you might have tried that already.

Yup, you can put 4 propulsion and 4 fuel. I have done that. But the time...it was either 4 or 6 turns. Cannot remember which.

If you like to have the whole ship complete it's 4 Propulsion, 4 Fuel pods, 2 Life Supports, and 3 Habitation. Altogether it's 12 turns but as said this is the whole ship so it has a lot of weight on it. So if I had everything on but instead of 3 Habitation I only have 1 so it would 10 turns. The game counts the weight of the ship.
