Spaceship issues

I know this is a pretty basic question but I must be missing something... How can I check on the status of my spaceship that I am building? I keep building components but it never shows me what it looks like after I buid a component. Or does it ever. I guess I am just comparing it to Civ3 and have the same expectations.

I believe you click on the Victory Conditions icon in the top right corner of your screen and there is a Spaceship section that shows all the parts of the ship. I've never gotten that far yet, but I did see the screen for it.

yeah that's correct ^^ it's in there and it fills in as you build it. it's also in text in that menu too.
