As we know Spain is being included in the expansion due to Ed Beach wanting them in the new scenarios, and the return of religion to Civ in a new, big way do you think this is an indication that they're going to drastically change their UA to take advantage of their, shall we say, illustrated history in the religious world?
Cheaper missionaries to reflect their spreading of Christianity in the new world, more effective inquisitors, or maybe even a flat combat bonus against civs with a different religion!

I wouldn't be surprised. I am sure there will be several civs changed in the expansion. I think Spain will be one, and makes sense as they are being including in the expansion.

Sadly we won't know for sure for a long time.

I think it would be interesting if Spain now gets a faith bonus for working any natural wonder. I wouldnt like their original UA to change that much, its pretty original after all.

Or the conquistador could be reworked too, intead of founding cities (which is not that useful), they could spawn a missionary when they take a big city of a diferent religion. After all they were really succesful at converting existing empires after conquest.

I can see them having a unique UA in the scenario, but I doubt their UA in the standard game will change much, if at all.

I like the idea of the change to the Conquistador, maybe taking a enemy city converts the remaining citizens to followers to your religion?

Agreed. I can see no really convincing reason to change their current UA, as it is one of the more interesting.

However "Into the Renaissance" will almost certainly not feature the New World and all its natural wonders, so I think we can count on them getting a different trait within the scenario.

Wow, that would be really nice actually. Perhaps it will be a direct effect. Just by conquering it might turn some citizens away from a religion.

I thinx this is what it will become :

Seven Cities of Gold (Spain): Gold bonus for discovering a Natural Wonder (bonus enhanced if first to discover it). Culture, faith, happiness, and tile yields from Natural Wonders doubled.

I'm interested to see if the Aztec UA will be changed too.

It will have to be adjusted for the new combat system, along with the Jaguar healing, but I dont think they'll get anything else, you could still go for God of War and generate culture and faith on your wars.
