Special terrain -> Temperature?

I understand that dry and hot tends to create deserts, hot and wet rainforests, dry and cold tundras and wet and cold marshes/tundra forests. (correct me if I'm wrong)

But is there any temperature/weather bias for oasis'/atolls?

You're right.

Oasis' spawn only when there are deserts, so they're most likely with hot and dry. I'm not sure about atolls though.
