Just got a new, cheaper, faster connection to Internet.

Made me suddendly wonder "hey, but what is the typical speed connection of the average CivFanatic poster ?".

So, here comes the poll ^^

PS : it's only for internet connection AT HOME. Not at work.

It's advertised as 3mbit cable. I haven't actually tested it.

When I had RoadRunner in Kansas City, I was supposed to be getting about 3mbit, but would routinely hit 3.5+.

10 mbit (we actually got two 10mbit lines into our home if it's ok to brag :)

Doh, I was including 10 Mbps lines just for being exhaustive, but I didn't actually believes there was really people with this kind of connection at hom

that's it let's invade sweden. it's just not fair that they get connections like that

anyway, my connection is 768Kbps ADSL

If you live in the right place, you could get 26 Mbps VDSL for app. 40 euro per month.

I got 512 kbps cable myself, and pays 30 euro/month. My friends think I should move up to higher speeds but hey, I actually made a small profit by going from modem speed to cable (since I could cancel my subscription for telephony).:goodjob: There's not much I would need more than 512 kbps for.

Are you kidding? I can't even get cable TV.

I have 256 adsl, got it yesterday...:D

But for some reason it's almost as slow as a 56k...:(

Yup, Freebox ^^

Theorically, 2 Mbps, but in practice, it's more 3 to 3,5 Mbps (average download speed with DA : 450 Ko/s) ^^

Here's a link to the company offering 26 Mbps:

Bostream

It's in swedish, but by reading the numbers you'll get the picture..

1 € = 9,26 kr,
$1 = 7,57 kr

Ok. Time to invade Sweden, that's it.
