England is the stone age of internet connections..
Is it really hard to get a good and fairly cheap connection in England? What about Manchester? I'm moving there, and I don't know if I'm prepared to take a step back to dial-up...

Its easy to get a low end to average ADSL connection for between around £15 to £30 a month. So you won't be stuck on a 56k modem if you don't want to but its not going to 1mb.

My internet at home = 3Mbps Down, 256kps Up <- Cable is so weird.

My internet at work is horrible....but then so is my work computer.
