Spy System Issue Brainstorm

For coup success rate: I don't know if there are other influencing factors, but the main contributor is the current ally's influence difference. Easy to demonstrate, dropped ambassadors in a CS whose ally had 1500~ influence, success rate immediately jumped 10-20% each hit. I think coups should be locked behind higher level spies, lowering the success rate just makes it swingier until the odds are no longer worth it.

I don't know if there a place to post this, but stuff like 'trade routes affect spy effectiviness' would be good candidates for the tips that show on loading screens.
I am reading this thread and it turns out I have no real idea of spys work :)

Not sure if you saw this in the other thread, but according to
the "Kidnap Specialists in the City" bug was fixed about a year ago, was there a regression?

It was fixed and I played couple games without issue , then it has reappeared and in all other games I have it.

Did anybody else notice that city states can give the coup quest to city states that are under a sphere of influence, making it impossible to complete it and you won't get any new coup quests. If you conquer the city state under the sphere of influence, the coup quest still doesn't go away. This should probably be fixed, does anyone know if this has been brought up?

Yep I've seen that as well!

To add to this conversation, spy mission durations are being adjusted to be a flat duration that is modified by city spy defense/ spy power (instead of the calculation being based on a rate model of defense divided by power). This will make mission times more standardized.
