Stability on lower-end computers

I recently bought Civ 4 and want to download BtS (from a legitimate site - saves postage and is the same price as on Amazon). Does it need any extra capabilities to Warlords or will it run on the same spec of computer? I did have issues with the original unpatched Civ 4 version (I bought my computer around the time it originally came out and haven't updated it much since) but these were fixed with a patch and as long as I run it in windowed mode I have no issues with CTDs. Just wanted to ask does BtS run smoothly on computers just about capable of running Warlords and the "vanilla" game?

You can run BtS on older computers if you set the graphics to minimum values and should have few problems.
