It's the 1800's and I'm trying to move stacks of units form one side of my territory to the other. Somehow they end up in the middle of France (I'm Mayan). In one move they travel over a great distance, mostly on roads. They always end on the same tile. Fortunetly I have an ROP with France.

What's up? I have the Complete Civ package so I assume a patch is not needed.

Most likely, the path to your destination is blocked by a French unit, and when your units reach that point, they step off of the road/rail to go around said unit, and by doing so, use up their movement point.

The stacks aren't even close to their intended path and about10 tiles into France with no other units in site. All of the tiles in France are roads. They always ended on the same tile no matter where the stack began.

I'm was moving tanks, modern armor, and mech. inf. I am further along now and it doesn't seem to be happening now.

Move them manually. Then you'll be able to see if something is in the way.

I was able to move them one at a time but was time consuming. My how I've gotten lazy since civ 11. Not to belablor the point but there was no way they should have moved the distance they did.

Since it isn't happening at my current point in the game I'll go back latter to a save and see if I can figure it out.

BTW this is my first C3C game. Am used to PTW. C3C is real nice.

try moving the whole stack to different points in between, not the whole distance all at once ... it might help.
