stAmirNES: The Prophecies

Ok, I have a dilemma and I need EVERYONE in this nes to pick what they want. I am debating whether to make turns from now until 1000AD, 10 years each, 30 years each or 50 years each. Now about each.

50 years each: We get out of the Dark Ages faster (10 turns/updates). Though its fast paced, less time to develop and impossible to make royal bloodlines.

30 years each: Its the expansion pace like now. More in the middle and takes 16 turns to 1000AD.

10 years each: Extremely slow expansion, takes 50 turns to get to 1000AD and politics more fast paced. Royal Bloodlines are easier to make.

Now no matter what we pick here, when it striked 1000AD, it will automatically be 10 years each update, maybe even 5. Now remember, this game does not end at the end of the Middle Ages, it goes on even until the Future age. ;) So keep that in mind when deciding.

I pick 10 years per update...Everything else is too fast paced...A kingdom can't be ran without a king...And that's one thing I don't like about regular 4000bc NES's is that alot can happen in 1 year...Charlamagne conquered europe in 1 lifetime...In 100 years of a 4000bc NES you could be at war!Wars weren't really fouht for genocide back then...But for better positions for their king.

chat or if possible I pick even less than 10 years...Because once again alot can happen in 1 year

10 years

Can i make my own country. I dont realy want to be the papacy

Begin reahcersing "Galleys" (Ships that travell longer) (use all money I got now and 4 per turn)

Illyricum

30 years, however, i like the 10 years because it would be able to be more realistic

Under the rule of King Scott, a dilemma has arisen early. His people are dieing of thirst. So the King assembled all the elders and men of the nation together, and addressed this dilemma.
What was decided was to find water by expansion. So Scott sent 10 scouts to find waterous areas along with 100 of his soldiers. That was a solution for the future. Right now, his people are dieing. Someone proposed that we use the peaks of the mountains as a source of water. So, men quickly gathered what they could to carry snow down from the peaks and began to melt the snow over fire. Temporary solution to the problem. For as they do that, they are finding ways to melt the snow up in the peaks, and siphon it to the city, using the technology of aqueducts already discovered by the fallen Romans.

Orders:
Send out the 10 scouts and 100 soldiers in search for waterous regions, if found, claim for King Scott and Illyricum. Use them also to find other nations.

Transport snow from the Mountains until the aqueduct system described earlier is studied and built.

BTW... what color am I???

To Almohads
From Algerians:
Your nation has no food and has no benefit to our people and the ways of life. We rather stay dependant until you fix this problem.

ooc: @Heine, is "Sea Crossing" a technology? if so, well, it is not the sailors that cant cross the sea, its your tiny and weak barques. Research something like Galleys and describe it for a technology, then tell me how much money you want to spend on it per turn.

@bn1, you are greenish-blue right on present day Croatia, the western coast of the Balkans. :)

@Everyone, ok, I am on the edge of doing 30 years each. But remember again, this will only be until the end of the Dark Ages, then it will turn to 5-10 years each turn.

I would Update tonight though I will have to start at 7:00PM Eastern or no update at all today! So get those orders/stories in!

(ooc: how do i rise culture? I make orders now and edit wiht a story later; btw i say 10 turn update; and could you please change my leader name to King Alexander liek in the update? sounds cool)

The King did his best to prevent his city from corrupting. But the Kign was not willing to remain a small city-stat forever. A nearby city needed the protection of the macedonian army. But the Kign knew that this city was still under the control of a very corrupt. he had claimed himself King but he hadnt done anything yet to improve the living-conditions of his men. Macedonia had to free the city from his leader or the city would lay in ruins very soon.

To the south-eastern city:
Look at our mighty army! we could occupy your country very fast! but we dont want war. join us and we will protect you against those evil barbarians. dont accept and you will face the power of the Macedonian Legionarys.

to Byzantine:
Greatings to the last true remains of Roman Empire. We accept you as a partner and we want ot trade with you soon. But we have to agree about something: Are you going to expand further west? Macedonia things that the land in the west to you is enough to expand on. Please dont expand further west and we will be friends forever.

to Greece:
greatings southern brothers. May we live in peace for the next centuries and protec each other vs barbarian raids from the sea and from the north.

Orders:
-expand south-east to the city
-marsch with 3/4 of my army to this nearby city and convince them to join
-grow culture (if not possible buy 1x archer 1x spearmen)
