Update Two: 560AD
I TOLD YOU GUYS TO TAKE THE BARBS SERIOUSLY...
In Southern Iberia and northern Morroco the Iberians have joined together at the Straits of Grenada under King Fernando. This nation was named Grenanda. They begin thier destiny by expanding east and finding the Eastern Iberians. They pose a slight threat and have secret advanced weapons. Though a large stretch of mountains seperate you two, it may take only more months to cross it.
While the city of Algier does not join the Almohads they still expand anyways and do nothing. It was said that the famine at Tunisia made the Algerians not want to join them even more. Many advisors advise thier king that more technological advances to help this continueing famine be helped. The King took this advise and began the order of his navy to fish along the coast and gather food. This however helps the famine though decreases the Morale and training of the barques lower than it already is. They think that thier rank has been decreased for no valuable reason.
The people of Illyricum continue the fear of thier destruction. Thier loyalty of thier King continues to drop until the king has done something bold. Something that would for the moment save thier civilization, he sent his men to the mountains of the gods, for snow, "another source of water" the explorer says. The people become happier and those dying are being recovered throughout the years. More advanced methods of water transportation has begun research aswell.
Pressure between Macedonia and Thessolonica arises after the Macedonian threat message sent with thier main diploat was assasinated by the Thessolonican king. The Pope also demanded that the Macedonians withdrew from Thessolonican fronts though they ignored. The Macedonian army marched anyways, though Thessolonica is ready. Though while the Macedonian army moved south, the frieghtened Thracians fleeing from the Great Huns moved toward Macedonia and built a fort off the borders of the city. Many Macedonians died, economy begins to fail with most of the population out fighting. The Huns aswell lead the Thracian trail.
In Italy, Doge Marquis Alfieri has died of old age at 67 years. His son takes over this kingdom. This death has lowered the loyalty of the new king though luckily, a new alliance between the Germanic and Visigoth-Astrigoth tribes has concluded to the desertion of thier fort outside of Venice.
The Athenians and Spartans have collided into what would be known as the Second Pelopenisus war! Fighting begins almost immediatly. Athenians have taken lands but not many making a stalemate. The strategy of the Spartans are no different, something on the Athenian side will be needed to be thought up to win this war. It wont be easy. Though for the Philistines, a newly arrived navy of Athenia has almost matched the Philistine number but not technology. Some Athenian Barques have been sunk. The Philistines also establish many forts on the Aegean Sea and Mediteranean.
In the northern Iberia, the Spainiards overly underestimating the Catalans attack them like a horde of monkeys. While the Catalans right outside of border resting and awaiting an attack, the Spaniards have lossed many soldiers. Morale of the army lowers alot while the remaining army flees from battlefield.
In Egypt a major flooding continues each year on the Nile increasing the population alot. The Population aswell allowed the people to recruit the army without a worker shortage. They expand south.
The Naplese under the control of Vasco da Gamma start a major revolution of arms and navy. Though not as large as others in world, thier whole bank account went to troops and ships. They expand and find three cities around them.
The Byzantines have defended thier homeland intensly against the Huns though only to find out that the Huns did not attack. And so thier education began and thier money was saved for any last minute needs.
In the English island the Britons have attacked the Saxons. Though mostly using archers and legionaries and successful tactics, both armies had high points of the battle. Though at the end the English have pushed back the Saxons though with many casualties.
The Papacy builds another city. They name it St. Johnstown.
The Visisgoths attack France! Unprotected and no military at front, the barbarians only attack and take gold.
Diplo:
From Papacy
To Italy:
May we build a mission in your lands? And as said to your father, if the Barbarians attack Rome, it will be all on your shoulders.
From Papacy
To Spain:
We give you three gold against the Catalans and as a reward for your faith.
OOC
YOU GUYS WILL NEED TO TITLE YOUR ORDERS WITH THE NAME OF YOUR CIV, OR ELSE YOUR ORDERS WILL BE IGNORED
Might I also suggest that your expansion and attack orders be specific or else will be ignored as well, so no "expand everywhere" or "expand as much as possible"!
-Oh, and 1000 troops may be a large number, but it realy isn't, its like 100 troops in all other story NESs. So attacking with an army of 1000 or 2000 may not be enough, so use your money but use it wisely aswell.
- I have increased the prices of each military unit by one gold coin.
-Death, read the "cities" section, it costs more than you have to construct cities yet.
