Starting Locations

Are there any versions, patches, mods, etc. available that let you bind a specific civ to a specific starting location on the map? Playing Civ 2, I preferred playing on earth usually. I'd like to be able to do that here too, but when my Arabs start in Japan or my Americans start in Africa there doesn't seem to be much point.

You have to edit the scenario. Open Civ3Edit, open world map, and right click on a starting location. Click "reassign" and choose the civ.

I just tried that and when i right click on the start location all is says is delete start location
But i made my map from scratch, if that makes a difference. If it does how do u assign civs to there starting location?

Select "properties" when you right click on a starting location.
