Statue of Liberty bug?

Sorry, didn't mean to ignore you; I was just looking for a definitive yes or no, which you said earlier you didn't have. Interestingly, Jaybe said (just above) that you don't lose the Wonders if if you obtain them via conquering, which would seem to conflict with the idea that you do lose them if you switch ideologies. (After all, when you a conquer a city, it plus any Wonders it contains would then be running under a new ideology.) The two situations can't both be correct, or if they are I'm guessing it's a bug.

When you change ideologies, you are allowed to pick as many new tenets as you had in the previous tree minus the early adopter bonuses (ie, if you're first to freedom and switch to order when you have a total of 6 tenets, you will be given 4 free tenets. I'm not sure if you can get early adopter tenets when changing).

Additionally, you do not lose the wonder when you change. Someone on reddit did a 'all wonders in one city' run after BNW came out, and used world ideology votes to force the change. Here's a link: http://www.reddit.com/r/civ/comments/1jcc21/all_46_world_wonders_in_one_playthrough_bnw/cbd8n8i

Okay, so that's one confirmation that you retain ideology-specific Wonders upon switching ideologies. Jaybe's reference suggests the same. Yzman, can you find the thread in which someone said that they lost the Wonders?

Also, a small nitpick from the reddit thread:
I was a bit disappointed the Wonders stopped appearing visually on-screen after the tiles around your city get 1-2 wonders
I routinely see 6-7 Wonders represented visually around my city. Typically the first ones built, so usually Stonehenge, the Pyramids, the Temple of Artemis, the Statue of Zeus, the Parthenon, the GL, the Oracle, etc. Sometimes even more. I play on a very slow laptop, with all settings turned as far down as possible, so it's not a function of higher settings.

I can 100% confirm that the Wonder remains if you switch ideologies. One game, I built Prora but 5 of the other 7 civs went Freedom, forcing me to switch. I checked, and Prora remained in my city.

I did actually have a bug with this earlier - I did have Order, as the only one in the world (no-one else had even picked Ideologies yet), and had the right techs, but was not allowed to build the Kremlin. Reloading my save solved it.

I can't find the previous thread in which the person said they disappeared so will assume that what everyone says about them remaining is correct.

Only one thing to confirm after that, does the wonder still HAVE EFFECT? For example, if you build Kremlin and then switch to freedom, do you still get the bonus for building tanks?

Maybe that is what I am remembering, not the actual wonder disappearing, though it seems unlikely they would do that. I just want to make sure all bases are covered before we call this solved.

Edit: Found a thread discussing this a small bit

Yep, the wonder (Prora) was still providing happiness for me. I hovered over the happiness tooltip to see where I was getting my happiness, and the "happiness from wonders" metric accounted for Prora.

If you really want, I can try to dig out a save later.

Can anyone confirm that Kremlin isn't bugged and disappears then? That seems to be the issue that was stated in that thread.
