The sale pricing for Civ7 is, at least for me, somewhat confusing and odd: I remember that before the sale an upgrade to the deluxe version would cost 29.99€. That options is now not displayed anymore when entering the store (but then somehow reappears when opening the details page of some individual content and browsing back...and it still sits at 29.99 then), but I can individually purchase (undiscounted) a deluxe content pack and (discounted) the other gameplay items included in the Deluxe Edition. Doing so however is more expensive than purchasing the first said undiscounted Deluxe Edition upgrade... :crazyeye: Maybe it is my Steam site having caching issues and playing tricks on me...but if not...well, then this leaves a bad taste and alone the sparked confusion prevents me to consider any more content at least for now.

EDIT: Clarification that I'm taking about Civ7...

I decided to but a 2nd Civ 6 copy from Steam. I already have Civ 6 antho from Epic but without Steam workshop it is painful to test UI mods.

Now I am contributing as a player who never complete a single game 🤔

I wonder if anyone who is knowledgeable about these things could help me out.

I'm thinking about getting Civ IV, and I'd like to get Civ IV Complete.

When I go check out Steam, it doesn't put Civ IV Complete in the list of things on sale. But if I click Beyond the Sword, then the option to buy Civ IV complete (for $5.99) does seem to come up. Hovering over it, though is a bar that says "Requires the Steam Version of Civ IV." And moreover, Civ Complete is the same price as just Beyond the Sword. So I'm worried that if I buy this version of Civ IV Complete, it won't work until I buy something else (namely, the "Steam Version of Civ IV, whatever that might be").

Am I worrying needlessly? If I purchase this version of Civ IV Complete, will I be able to play the game?

What is at stake here, five bucks? Just buy both

I have 8 bucks in my wallet. So if Civ IV Complete at 6 bucks would work, then I can buy it without the hassle of adding money to my wallet!

And even just as a matter of principle, if I can get a thing for 6 dollars, I'd rather not spend 12 dollars.

Perfect. Thank you.

Xbox Series X version of Civ 7 Standard is on sale for $13.25 (-81%) on Amazon for those interested.

Other console versions on sale but not as deep as Series X.

Not sure if a link is allowed.
