(Steam Version only) FFH2 massive multiplayer battles

Ever since the Gamespy servers have shut down, it has been increasingly difficult to get multiplayer games started on CD versions of the game. However, with Steam version, multiplayer should be as (relatively) seamless as it was at launch. Ergo I have created a discord for the purpose of organizing Multiplayer games via Steam version of Civ IV (and thereby FFH2).

First game will be June 9th GMT 3pm .... using the new Discord Server to organize.

In Steam, go to your Game Library, and right click on Civ IV complete/ Civ IV beyond the sword and click Properties
From there, go to Launch settings, and within Launch settings there is an empty box, type in Mod=\Fall From Heaven 2

In this way, you can join the host (so long as both host and player are friends in Steam) without having to "see" the game in the Internet Lobby

I play Illians in multiplayer on our LAN. No option to select them?

I'd like to add that it may now be broken on the last Steam version for Windows 7, messed up at least 2 mods for me. Fine on Windows 10.
Also if you have trouble connecting to some players and portforwarding didn't help/isn't possible you should replace Gamespy's NATNeg with Kvalitet server's (successor to Zulan's, though afaik you can still use his NATNeg too).
