Steph mod: progress for icon maker and text writer

Update of the modern tech tree.

I've included all the infantry units. I hope I've made something interesting for the Special Forces, the Advanced Infantry and others.

I may add a last infantry unit and a new tech : "Clone Trooper" (using a conversion from Star Wars of course).
These units will be a bit less powerfull than regular advanced infantry, but will need only 1 population point, when infantry usually need 2 or 3.

Do you like this idea?
 
Update of the land units, now with modern and future. Some animations are still not the final ones, but all "generic" units are in( no civ UU yet)

From left to right, and back to front (roughly following unit upgrade path).

1st line
- Tribal Warrior, Warrior, Swordsman, Man at arm,
- Grenadier, Guard Grenadier (empty, it will be Loulong's), Engineer
- Alpine troops, Mountain troops
- Paratrooper, Airborne trooper

2nd line

HEre is the navy. Some modern ships are still missing (missile frigate, modern destroyer, modern battleship)

3rd line
- aircraft carrier, nuclear carrier

And now the air force! Helicopters are still missing

What I have, but I'm not completly happy with.
- Mapmaking : I'm using vanilla Civ3 icon, but something that has a more ancient look would be nicer.
- Medicine for Renaissance : perhaps something with a stethoscope would be more self explantory?
- Mobile artillery: as it give horse artillery, it would be better if we could see a horse.
- Nationalism : original icon is a bit ugly
- railroad : the original icon shows only the wheels. I would like to see a whole locomotive.

Good suggestions. I will however first care about the tech without icons before I start to rework existing icons. New stuff should arrive within some hours (or tomorrow) :)

I have all the icons for the 2 first eras :band:

I will swap cavalry tradition and cavalry tactics, it will be OK.
For the regimental organization, could you use another musketeer? Like this one?
Because the one you have used is an early musketeer, and comes with renaissance tactics.

Now, I just need the 2 last eras ;)
 
:beer: All the "generic" units have been added in the editor. A few animations are still missing, so I'm sharing them with other units.
:hammer: Tomorrow, I will start adding the "civ specific" units (even if they won't be really specific to a civ, as some units will be used by several civ).
 
hey this mod looks great lots of techs...which also raises the question if with all these techs there are going to be enough turns to play them in? i forgot how many turns are in civ3 but if you have a minimum time for the techs say 4 turns then isnt it going to be kinda tight?

I've changed the time scale.
 
Steph: Can you put the discovery of the number "0" in the ancient tech tree.
Besides the wheel it is the biggest discovery of mankind.
I am surprised I havent' seen it in any mod/scen yet
 
what about better trade.
Just think it is too important too neglect it.

btw: Does alphabet (in civ3 vanilla) has any effects?

Sorry, no maps. I'm changing only the rules.

And about necessary distrocions, it varies a lot with the projection you are using.

I knew that you could change like years weeks etc. I just didnt noticed the thing to the right. Thanks!

The funny thing is that I made flight, then realized too late that you already use the icon from Civ3 :D However, I included my flight icon, perhaps you can use it too ;)
