THE GLORY OF ROME

The Roman army had divisions. Specialists and regular troops. This is how the Roman Armies attack.

When it was on campaigns the army was accompanied by a number of specialists. One was the camp commandant, who was responsible for the organisation of the camp. The Romans were very careful about their camps - no Roman army halted for a single night without digging a trenches and fortifying its camp. Each soldier took his share in establishing the camp and striking the camp the next day. Another specialist was the quaestor, whose duty was to look after all the money matter. then there were the engineers and all kinds of craftsmen and artisans. They were responsible for siege operations and for the rather primative Roman"artillery", which consisted of big catapults and complicated machines a little like crossbows. These were mainly used for hurling big rocks and stones at the walls of a defence place. The engineers also had to build the moveable towers that were used in sieges - the Roman soldiers went up inside these towers so that they could see over the walls of a fortified place and shoot their stones and arrows into it. The engineers also made the scaling ladders that were used for getting over walls.

This was sure to kill any and all barbarians, seeing how technical the armies of rome really were, with the quaestor and engineer, The Romans could not fail in their time of glory and need. The time was now. And it was a very good time indeed.

Middle East Land Deal occurs, where Media gives some land along the Tigris in order for more elbow room elsewhere.

Indusian soldiers throughly crush the Mauryans, however not without losing some of their own (-20). However these losses are balanced out by the new army recruitment campaign.

With their victory against Maurya and their fast expansion because of the Ganges Shrine, the Indusians have gained large amounts of land. However, this leads their forces to be spread out and vulnerable. Also, as they expand farther south, they encounter huge and potentially dangerous monsoons.

Welsh and Scots unite into one tribe, sharing the same heritage. This could mean a new era of prosperity for the small island. Some Welsh join Scottish armed forces (+100 regulars, 5 Woad Raiders, 1 Canoe). However the Welsh are potentially unhappy about being ruled by a Scotsman and want fair representation.

Byzantines are pushed back by the Bulgars due to weak leadership on the Byzantine's part (write some stories). However, Byzantines manage to sink Bulgars only canoe, making it all but impossible for the Bulgarians to cross the Dardanelles.

The Romans deliver a strong blow to the Etruscans, pushing them back to their capital of Taranto, where they are expected to make a last stand.

Zulu push back South Africans due to lack of leadership.

Aztec economy sinks deep into depression after the government spends much on researching a wheel. However, the Wheel is developed, allowing Aztecs to expand more easily. Aztec Jaguar Warriors start an attack on the peaceful Olmecs to the south.

Brennus was dissapointed with the Celtic Expansion in ireland , it had been so little that it was almost negligible , his subordinates could only come up with lame excuses for their lack of progress , but Brennus made it very clear that if in they fail to accomlish such simple tasks ever again they will executed on the spot.

but not everything was bad , the our welsh brethren agreed to our proposal and united their forces with ours , raising our numbers even further , though the welsh and the scots were basically both celts the centuries of isolation made the welsh different enough to make a instant assiimilation just impossible , therefore brennus decided to grant the welsh a seat in the Druidic High Council and make the former welsh chief prince of wales.

The lion was lieing in the grass, totaly covered, watching the animal. It was standing a bit outside the flock and had no idea that his every move was being watched from the grass.
The lion was about to get closer when the animal suddenly started looking around sniffing, there was no way the animal could had seen or smelled him.
He could feel it to now the ground was shaking something or someone was comming. The animal he was watching had already fled. He could see them now, hundreds of humans comming over the hill, shouting.
Far away he could see a big cloud of dust, something large was comming over there to.
He could smeel it now, death was in the air.
