stNANES5: This Time It's For Real

Thanks guys, I was worried there for a sec... :)

Also, China, I don't recall your name being naervod... ;)

Lastly, feel free to spart posting orders, first update Friday.

ummmh.......... can u like give us details on the rules for giving orders? can we jsut do one thing per turn? or two? or what?
also...about the wonder limit..........can u make it larger? :D

Two things per turn, each thing costs one economy point. Only one thing per turn if you upgrade economy.

Wonder limit is now 7 per age, but that's final.

Check above, I believe I clearly stated it. If you grow economy, you can only grow one thing per turn. Also, what would be flawed about my economy rules?

well think about it, everything costs one economy, and you cant really grow economy at all, lets say you decide to grow army and economy, but the fact that you are growing army, means that you are giving up an economy, and at the same time making it up by growing economy, you end up w/ one military unit up, but the economy state does not change at all..... do i make any sense?

This is the third time I will say it in the past few hours. Maybe I phrased it wrong. When I say if you grow economy, you can only grow one thing, I meant that economy is the only thing you can grow.

Can we see a first map to see were our countries are located.
Because i dont want to expand west if im on the coast.

OK, a map with starting locations will be up later tonight.

For as long as one could remember, the Konjan people had a set way of life. Each man belonged to his family, and his family to one of the five clans. Together they pursued the traditional nomadic life style, pursuing whatever they would need to sustain their living conditions. And farther up in this pursuit of surviving , each clan belonged to their greater people, who were called Konjan. The Konjan clans would all send elders to meet with the other clans elders every year. Together, they decided which general path they would puruse, what codes to place on their lifestyle, what punishments to pass onto the foolhardy, and when the next meeting would be. And then, a strange thing happened...

While it wasn't uncommon for 2 offspring of elders to marry each other, for 2 generations of offspring to do so was unheard of. Such was the case that faithful year in around 4000 B.C.E. Through marriage, 2 pairs of elder offspring married, and had 3 children, all of which were women. Further North, another pair married only a little later. They in turn had but one son. Immediatly, the first of the pairs saw what was necessary. A marriage was proposed between the elder's grandchildren, and the clansmen were once again happy. Untill... the son of the second pair died of an accident while hunting. Much panic arose, as the young couple hadn't had a hair. But merely a few months later, a great celebration was held between the four clans, for the woman had bore a child. His name... was Konjan, and he would go on to become the first ruler of the Khojan Khanate.

As a youth, he was naturally gifted with amazing riding and hunting skills, two of the most important characteristics of a Konjan clansman. He refined himself in the ways of the bow and spear, and even became somewhat of a wise-man in his mother's clan. Every day people would come to Konjan with their problems. Quarrels over herding animals, bartering, advice, and other such problems that Konjan listened to with great care. He soon gained such a reputation as a fair and balanced judge, that men from all the clans would journey for days to find the solutions to their problems. It was there that he first started to see the benefits of centralized goverment. And when a daughter grew age, the daughter of the one clan to which he had no relation to, he saw his opportunity and married her. Finally, when the old elders had died and his moter passed on, Konjan took a brave chance.

He commanded his people to stop endlessly roaming the steppes. He told them that a better life would follow if they would settle down in one place. And the people listened. A small patch of territory, in East Asia, would from then on forever be known as the land of Konjan and the Konjanese.

*1 - Takhi is the Mongolian word for horse, and it also means spiritual. Since the Konjan (completely made up otherwise), are one of the early Mongolian tribes, it would make sense to me that they would worship a sort of horse god. Hence, Takhinism.

The Konjan Khanate

Within years of Konjan's message to his people, the Konjanenese had established a tiny village in the Konjan steppes. They named it "Konjantum", after their founder and the traditional name of their people. All in all, it took years for all the Konjanese to stop their roaming and establish homes in Konjantum, though this continued to some extent even after the death of Konjun the great. For die he did. Even the greatest of the Konjanese had to pass away one day, and his passing was filled with great remorse and sadness. To his most fragile of days, the always energetic Konjan had built Konjantum from a tiny collection of yurts, to a sprawling village of some half a thousand people.

He layed Konjantum out, pathway by pathway till it was well organized and easy to remember. Around it, he built a small stone wall, which stopped the wolves and other wild animals from breaking in and causing trouble. Outside these walls, he established many farms, and the Konjanese became master farmers, growing accustomed to their climates.

But as was said, Konjan had to die some day, and after Konjan came Konjan's son, Zutan. Zutan was more ambitious than his father. He wasn't content with merely watching his village prosper as he grew to old age. He wanted more, and he knew how to accomplish it. One day, he had a vision from the Horse God, Khantakhi. The next morning, he held a speech to his best warriors.

"Oh ye who are with me, Zutan, son of Konjan, listen to what I have to say! Our city is like a fruit tree in a barren wasteland. All around us lie tiny brother tribes that roam these steppes without a sense of direction or purpose. I am commanded by the horse god, Khantakhi, to bring those of our people who are fools, into our bastion of light, Konjantum! We are to mount our steeds, and we are to prepare our arrows. For tonight, we will march on, out of Konjantum, and to the surrounding lands. For tonight, Konjan will cease to be a village, and grow to be a great nation!"

In the dunes of egypt along the rich Nile River lies the dormant Egyptians. The Pharoh had just died and his son was taking the throne. He brought forth his servants and requested the other members of the high council.

"Our Nation is wonderous, and more is to be written to this great tale." Spoke one of High Council. Sa-Kari listened to wise, older member and gratefully accepted his expulsions.

Great Pyramids were disscussed to be used for tombs for the dead Pharoh. Sa-Kari constructed a design for the largest pyramids ever built. So construction began...
