Despite my love of Representation, I'll have to go with marble. On higher difficulties (I've recently achieved Emperor!), mids stifle early expansion, whereas GL and Parthenon can be built at leisure. Hopefully a nearby victim will build my precious mids...

If there is enough commerce to tech fast enough to Math (before AI can do it).. than I take stone (to try getting Pyr and HGardens for Great engineer that later can give chance to build some marble wonders too.. MoM or GLB for example)
