I don't know. I called EB games today, (i'm up in B.C. Canada) and I asked when they think they'll be getting it. The guy who picked up sounded like he was lost and said excitingly that it would be the 27th. He then insisted that they will call me when it's in and hung up.

Everyone else is saying the 26th! Could this guy actually have been lost and not know what he was talking about? I hope to god that this guy was as ignorant as he sounded. Do you think he was just ignorant? does anyone else encounter any behavior as such. Do you think I have a hope of getting it tommorow?... :\

Gamestop just called me via an automatic system to let me know that it will be in the store tomorrow that I preordered from. I certainly hope so, but we shall see.

A friend of mine checked most of the Canadian retailers this evening and both BestBuy and Futureshop have it now listed as the 27th. One of the outlets though that he called said they had 40 ordered arriving tomorrow so I don't know. Maybe they're just playing it safe listing the 27th on their websites. On the other hand when you call in you just get some random employee on the phone. It's not like your calling the shipping company or talking to the manager or anything so who really knows. I'm going to check things out in the morning and hope that things are go in Calgary (Calgary is gotta be the most American like city in the most American like province in Canada so why not). If they don't have it I guess my alternative would be to make for the Montana border, but I'm not sure that there is anything on the other side and the girl friend needs the car tomorrow anyway (somehow I don't think she would look kindly on me running up the odometer and the gas bill just to get Civ a day earlier).

i say go to your store tomorrow, get a good night sleep and get ready to rush the back room with a bunch of civ fanatics, be sure to have excact change with you, once you get your paws on the game run out of the store throwing your money to pay for the game at the employee chaseing you to slow him up
