Strange graphics error - improvements doesn't appear

i have the 1.6.1 version......and any improvement i build (it can mine a village, etci) it's invisible! i don't know why that happened....and it's very annoying, i can't see them....how can i fix this......?

I heard that using a no-cd crack can cause this.

This is another of the deliberate anti piracy measures. Don't use no-cd cracks or pirated copies of the game and you won't have this problem.
