Strange graphics problems

Ok, I have had this game for a while and have played with these problems but I can't handle them anymore. My graphics never work. Stuff will randomly dissappear, sometimes roads, sometimes units. Sometimes the words will change into some foreign stuff. Colors will even change, or I may get weird glitchy graphics where it looks like you are looking under the ground. I have no idea what is wrong. My system definitely meets the specs,even confirmed by gamespy's game check. Here is my system.

AMD Athlon 64 3400+
2.2 ghz rated at 3.4 GHz
1023.5 mb ram
Windows XP sp2
Nvidia geforce fx 5200(has 3d acceleration and T&L)
9.0c directx

What can be wrong????

This is the problem. Try the latest drivers, but to be honest this card is lower than low end.

Definitely the card, the fx 5200 is horrible - it was brought out in a rush to replace the 'failed' fx 440's (and performed worse to start with ...). It has gone though 10 revisions of gpu cloking etc. You might get it to run - just - but it will be no fun at all.

Strongly advise you get a mid range card, prices are good these days for that level of card, talk to HP about it re suitability for your case & heating issues. By all means post what they said here if you want a second opinion of the card advice offered, lots of peeps will help with an opinion.

Make sure Patch V1.52 gets loaded - its a 'Must Have' Patch
Tweek your PageFile to 2000mb min=max

Post again if you have issues after a new card

So it is the card then? that sucks. Its weird, because if I am playing a scenario the graphics are usually fine, its just when I am playing a standard game. Maybe the scenarios have les to compute. Oh, well guess I will look into upgrading my graphics card soon. Thanks all.

I know another person that plays with this same card just fine....man.
