Stupid Steam Demo Question...

Hi guys,

I just started downloading the demo for civ5 yesterday; it will take me a few more hours to complete the download.

In the meantime, I have a stupid steam demo question...

Once the demo is downloaded, do you still need steam? Or do you have to play the demo through steam? In other words, is the demo a stand-alone application?

You need to have steam running (but it can be in the background and in the taskbar). All steam demos are like that.

You need once an internet connection for the verification of the install.
Afterwards you can set Steam to offline mod, then no internet connection is required anymore.
