Allright, here's my empire. I've done a pretty good job of cutting off the French and Greek expansion, and I'm sending a Galley around the (known) world as we speak. I only need Construction to get out of ancient times, and it's just past AD. Who should I attack for my first war, French, Greek, or Aztec? The Aztecs are far away as you can see, but their empire covers wide grasslands and they might have access to valuable resources later. The Greeks hold the best land besides me, but they probably have the Hoplite. The French possess miserable land but they can't have Horses or Iron, unless they traded for it with Al/Monty.

If you're interested, the Story So Far is in the Stories and Tales department. I'll add more as history unfolds....

And here's the lower part of the continent... on the whole it looks a lot like a backwards England, with the Aztecs in Scotland, me in Wales, the French in Dover and the Greeks on the Thames...

Well, apparently the French DO have horses, because your top image shows a French horseman. Warfare in the ancient and middle ages kind of stinks because there aren't many units with significantly higher offense than defense (especially those darn hoplites).

If I were in your shoes and I was itching for a war, I would opt to fight the French, given that situation, because they strike me as being the most easily conquered.
