Succession game for RFC RAND?

Turn 0 - 1670 AD

Our empire is in not so great shape:(. Made trades with naked boy and russia to hope for a even a small raise in stability.

Turn 1 - 1675 AD

We turned unstable:(. Also killed some barbarians running in french lands. Made defencive pact with ragnar in desperate attemnt to get more stability. Ragnar gave us Printing press as it was one turn away from completion. Started constitution.
Made defencive pact with japan.

Turn 2 - 1680 AD

Plague keeps spreading.

Turn 3 - 1685 AD

Plague keeps spreading more...

Turn 4 - 1690 AD

Christianity spread to Lisboa and Hinduism spread to Orleans.

Turn 5 - 1695 AD

German revolt in arretium.

Turn 6 - 1700 AD

England has declared war on the netherlands. Our american cities are under heavy pressure from native cannon fodder. Great artist has been born. ;)

Turn 7 - 1703 AD

Both Dutch and English came to ask for help in war. I denied help from both of them and English dropped to cautious.

Turn 8 - 1706 AD

Finally all the natives have been killed around the american cities. Germany finished replaceable parts.

Turn 9 - 1709 AD

Urgh. I voted never!

Turn 10 - 1712 AD

Eh nothing that I wanted to do so I left the few possible things for the next guy.

Da stuff for the next guy.

Netherlands is willing to vassalize to us. This would be we would get into war with england and stuff so accept or decline it.
GET OUR STABILITY BACK TO NORMAL:mad: I managed to rise our stability from -25 to -22.
Constitution is ready in 3 turns so try to survive that time and then get the golden age and stuff and chance civics.
And well you know the rest.

Yeah, we can't afford to lose that shrine, glad it turned out negative anyways.

We should definitely vassalize Netherlands. They'll probably be able to take some colonies in the Americas, Australlia, and Africa. Since England is separated by a fair chunk of sea, I don't think we'll have problems with them, and a vassal will help stability.

I think whoever is next can hold out 3 turns for representation to change our civics. Our economy should start to grow again after the plague is over (hopefully).

0. 1712 I noticed that we failed our 1st and 3rd UHV criteria. So I decided not to found any more cities unless absolutely necessary. I whipped some courthouses for stability. (In general, far away colonies need courthouses more than population)

1. 1715 Trading company in Lisboa.

2. 1718 The natives are a nuisance. I raze Machu-Picchu, and they disappear. We get constitution, so we switch to representation/free speech/mercantilism/resettlement/free religion. GA starts with our 2 saved great people.
I found Cayenne since England is approaching our spot in South America with a galleon.
We get an interesting event (right before our French Revolution):
attachment.php

I voted for the clerics (the First Estate) who are going to milk us more cash later on when we have more temples and cathedrals. Down with the monarchy!:king:

3. 1721 I sold maps for 100g

4. 1724 Milan gets Buddhism. (I've been spreading religion and building monasteries all around, just before we know SC)

5. 1727 uneventful

6. 1730 Corporation done-->democracy.

7. 1733 Saladin dies. I set Milan to build the Taj Mahal (for some culture flipping)

8. 1736 GE is born, I send him to Milan for the Forbidden Palace (it's far enough away to be worthwhile)

9. 1739 Forbidden Palace is built in Milan, we instantly regain some lost tiles. America finds us, we OB. I bribed England for a pittance (50g) which will turn out to be crucial.

10. 1742 World conference. (our vote/outcome)
Suleiman wants Makkah (y/y)
Willem wants Mumbai (abstain/y)
Frederick wants Arretium (again!) (n/n)
We want Pisae (has a settled great artist worth 3500 culture)(y/y)
Ragnar wants Lyon! (n/n--barely didn't make it if not for England voting for us)
We still don't have enough espionage for RP, and Germany is the only one who will trade for RP, so I trade for it with constitution/education+35 g.

11. 1745 (I played an extra turn to finish some badly needed Christian monasteries) I trade for SM from Vikings with Constitution and economics. Orleans starts with Statue of Liberty. Milan has 2 turns to go for Taj Mahal. I exchanged maps with America who is confined to a little NW corner bordering Waterford (Vikings) which means we have all the time to settle NAm:

To do:
1. Steal rifling ASAP and build more troops (Germany is revving up quickly with troops and has a large stack in Neapolis).
2. Get physics first (we're going to beat Germany by 1 move if England doesn't beat us there first).
3. Get 1 large city in NAm to start after physics (there's a settler there waiting with a knight)
4. Spread religion to our border cities (Milan, Arretium, Pisae) and fortify them.
5. I did not vassalize Netherlands (who's still willing, BTW, because they haven't ended their war with England) because it would have knocked our science down 10% at least. Maybe later...

Domination is going to require 30+% land and people, I don't know if we can do it...

I will play this tomorrow, sorry for the delay folks.

It does look like MAM is next, sorry about that. AP confused me. MAM I'm pretty busy anyways, so go ahead and take the next set of turns, and I'll go after you.

Sorry, my bad.

We are finally stable.:)

Anyway here's what happened.

1748: Vikings offered themselves as vassals, we accept, they will finish rifling in a turn(They're more powerful and have more colonies than the Netherlands). Start Bank in Bordeaux, Summer Palace in Qusqu. Slave revolt in Orleans, we chose to pay up. Demand whale and horses form Ragnar. Sheep to Ragnar for Deer. Trade Gems to Suleiman for Incense.

1751: Finish Christian temple in Paris, start Cathedral. Finish the Taj Mahal in Milan, start library. Hinduism spreads in Milan. Whip Summer Palace in Qusqu, court house in Cayenne.

1754: Finished cannon in Lyon started Islamic Missionary, customs house in Lisboa, started settler, Summer Palace in Qusqu started Bank, courthouse in Cayenne, started lighthouse. Finished Forge in Arretium, started Salon. Whip Christian Cathedral in Paris, Temple in Pisae.

1757: Germany wants us to cancel deals with Russia, no way. Finished Cathedral in Paris, started Musketeer, Islamic Missionary in Lyon, started Cathedral, Market in Birka, started Salon. Finished Christian Temple in Pisae, started Cuirassier. Great Spy born in Lisboa. Whipped settler in Lisboa.

1760: Egyptian cities have declared independence. Finished lighthouse in Marseille, started settler, settler in Lisboa, started Cuirassier, Buddhist Miss. in Milan, started another one. Whipped Cathedral in Lyon. Whipped Market in Quitu.

1763: Finished Musketeer in Paris, started Cuirassier, Cathedral in Lyon, started Islamic Missionary, Market in Quitu, started Jail, Cuirassier in Lisboa, started Salon. Finished Buddhist Miss. in Milan, started University. Stole Rifling from Germany. Traded gems to Rameses for Incense.

1766: We have entered the Industrial Era. Finish Physics start Nationalism. Finish Islamic Miss. in Lyon, start another one, Bank in Bordeaux, started Customs House. Finished Salon in Arretium, started Airship. Get Herbalist event near Quitu, choose option 2 which pays off (Note: See screenshot).Whip settler in Marseille, Universtiy in Milan.

1769: Finished settler in Marseille, started customs house, Islamic Miss. in Lyon, started Rifleman, Forge in Tarentum, started Library, University in Milan, started Cavalry. Founded Port Royal, started Library.

1772: Build Academy in Milan. Found Montreal, start library. Whipped Customs House in Marseille

1775: Finished Nationalism, started electricity. Finished Cavalry in Paris, started Rifleman. Finished Customs house in Marseille, started Olympic Park. Finished Salon in Lisboa, started Jail. Finished Lighthouse, started Customs House in Cayenne. Blizzard event of Birka's camp, we pay up.

Notes: I didn't know whether to put Espionage at 100% yet, so I'll let kbk deal with that. Neapolis is slowly becoming more and more French. Montreal is a great spot with lot's of plains and Iron, Uranium and Rice. Another settler in a galleon should be heading for a third spot or Cayenne to pick up an escort. Either way we have a third settler ready. Germany's falling behind Russia in score but is still second in tech. Vikings is really good for research(they've almost got communism and corporation)

Goals for next kbk:

1. Found more cities now that we're stable!
2. Continue to build up an army and eventually conquer Germany or Turkey.
3. Continue to spread religion to all our cities and build temples and cathedrals
4. Found a city in Australia?
5. Let's get some Privateers!(great for income)

P.S.-Sorry for no final screenshot.

Okay, I managed to get some time in tonight, so I'll be taking these turns.

Turn 0 (1775): Set research to Communism for chance at free great spy. Switched Lisboa and Marsielles to settlers. Marsielles does not have enough production for Olympic park, but gets plenty of food to build a lot of settlers for us. I switched Paris to rifleman. We want our national gallery somewhere in Rome to help flip cities.

Turn 1 (1778): Start national gallery in Arretium. Told vikings to stop researching communism (they were 1 turn away!)
Turn 2 (1781): Trade America Democracy, Physics, 390 gold for Military Science. Bourdeux finishes customs house, starts Galleon.
Turn 3 (1784): Tarrentarium starts jail. Lisboa finishes settler, starts jail.
Turn 4 (1787): Finish riflemen in Paris and Lyons, start jails. Finish bank in quesco start salon. Finish cavalry in Milan, start Kremlin. Paris spawns a great spy from specialists, plus we get one from being first to communism. Finished communism, started electricity. Switched espionage to Vikings, moved our spies to Stockholm. We'll use Vikings as our research mules.
Turn 5 (1790): Marseilles finishes Settler, starts another. Bourdeax finishes galleon, starts settler. Finish national gallery in Arretium, start Olympic Park. Direct Vikings to research chemistry.
Turn 6 (1793): Birka finishes salon, starts jail. Paris finishes jail, starts intelligence agency. Orleans finishes statue of liberty, starts jail. Lisboa finishes settler, starts jail. Slave revolt in Birka. We need to drop slavery in our next civic change. Landed a settler and some troops in the Americas, and directed them to found on a promising location. Also landed a settler and some troops on the coast in Africa. Our spies arrived in Stockholm.
Turn 7 (1796): Sign defensive pact with England. Egypt capitulates to Turkey. Found New Orleans in Africa. Sell world maps for about 100 gold overall. Turkey is now unstable/collapsing.
Turn 8 (1799): Finished jail in quitu, started bank. Tarrentum finished jail, started salon. Plague starts in New York. Lyons finished jail, started christian temple.
Turn 9 (1802): Start worker in New Orleans. Milan spawns a great engineer. I sent him to Paris to ice him to rush a wonder or use in a golden age. Plague does not spread from America, maybe this plague is coded as an Amerindian plague?
Turn 10 (1805): Orleans finishes jail, starts intelligence agency. Vikings finish research on Chemistry, order them to start steam power. Sent one of our spies to Stockholm and infiltrated. We still have 2 turns until we have -50% to steal chemistry. Traded world maps around for another 100 gold. Founded Quebec.

Future directions:
We have 3 settlers coming out soon. See screen shots for my recommendations on where to found them.
Finish electricity and start radio. After this we can probably kick up our espionage slider and start stealing from the Vikings. After steam power, I recommend getting them to research the medicine line.
After the next 3 settlers, we can get probably another 2 in South Eastern Africa, where there are a TON of resources. We can then probably put 2 in Australia. Place our colonies sparsely, but try to eat up oil.
We need to get some workers to our colonies.
We have a great engineer and a great spy, lets play it by ear. We may be able to rush a wonder (I'm thinking a radio wonder). We may also want to use the spy on the Vikings.

I recommend against trying to conquer another civ. That is rough on our stability, and there's a lot of open area for colonization. Besides, we want as many civs alive as possible so that our required land area doesn't get too high.

We don't have the spare production to waste on privateers right now either. There is a lot of espionage infrastructure and settlers that need to be built. Not to mention workers for our colonies.

Birka has been nothing but trouble for our empire. I say we should liberate it sometime to the Vikings (when we have more than 17-18 cities).
We really need state property, universal suffrage and emancipation. I think we need to switch civics without anarchy so try to get a 3rd great person soon (i.e. don't use the great spy).
Also, I wouldn't found any more cities until the existing ones are improved with at least a courthouse. I don't think anybody other than us will found cities in Africa so we have lots of time to do it.
So it's back to Maax again.

Turn 0 - 1805 AD

Woot we are stable (+4)
America has plague and is vassal of russia. Haha, this is what I love about RFC. We are doing very well in tech. :goodjob:

Turn 1 - 1808 AD

Ethiopia founded. They are last in score:D. Setlers are being sent to america.

Turn 2- 1811 AD

Congress is in 2 turns. Woot here comes the world wars:(. We were invited to it.

Turn 3 - 1814 AD

We had no money to bribe any1 in congress. Naked boy came asking for military science. Srry dude can no give:nono:. Electrisity completed. Radio started.

Turn 4 - 1817 AD

Congress started in Edo.
Gandhi makes no requests
Ramses got Harmozia
Lincoln did not get Waterhorn
Suleiman did not get Qardaj
Stalin got Beijing
Bismark did not get Qardaj
Victoria did not get Québec
We made no requests (only possibilities to take were crappy desert cities or franktfurt)
Togugawa makes no requests

Turn 5 - 1820 AD

First setlers landed. Banana for silk trade with Gandhi. Cotton for 6 GPT with togugawa. Corn for 7 GPT with Victoria. Open borders with eqypt.

Turn 6 - 1823 AD

Fort-de-france and basse-terre founded. More settlers landed.

Turn 7 - 1826 AD

Mobile founded. Another great engineer born:eek:. Now we can rush 2 wonders if we want.

Turn 8 - 1829 AD

The Kremlin finished.

Villagers gave 50 gold. 3 workers from france mainland was sended to america.

Turn 9 - 1832 AD

Nothing interesting, exept this.

LOL. Alternative world history at best.:goodjob:

Turn 10 - 1835 AD

Made dye for 9 GPT trade with Stalin.

Stuff for next guy:

We got 3 workers going to america, use them.
We got 2 great engineers and one great spy. Rush some wonders and try to steal from some1.
And decided what victory do we go after.

And sorry about it taking so long:blush:

I would definitely build Cristo Redentor from one of our two GE's. We need the flexibility of switching from resettlement/occupation/viceroyalty and we need communism/police state/nationhood eventually when the number of cities grows too large for US to handle.

Turn 0 (336)

Ah, it's been long.

Can't remember why we didn't feed Maya techs, but then I look at the map and see it wouldn't matter. They got a little shafted with the starting positions thing. At least India are doing well.

Wait, I have an idea! What about the Mayan lands improvement project? We just chop their jungle? I will see if that's possible...

(IT)

Ickle Lincoln demands Electricity.

NAHHHH.

Get the Citizens of X want to jioin Civ Y popups.

Slave revolt in Birka

Turn 1 (337)

Turns out we cannot chop jungles in Mayan territory. Maybe because we don't have Biology?

(IT)

Radio comes in. Chem onto Bio.

Turn 2 (338)

Spread Christianity in Orleans. Rush the Cristo in Paris.

(IT)

The Olympic Park completes and we get a GA!

Turn ()

Turn 4 (340)

Spread Chrstianity in Marseilles.

(IT)

Arabia makes peace with Japan/Carthage. GSpy born in Arretium. We're Solid.

Turn 5 (341)

Send the Spy to Paris for Scotland Yard. Refocus Espionage to Germany.

(IT)

Chem completes. Set research to Steam Power, but crank up Espionage as by now it is absolutely cheaper to steal than to research.

Turkey collapses. Yikes.

Turn 6 (342)

Steal Steel from Vikes. Steal Steam Power from Vikes. Set research to Assebmly Line.

(IT)

Declare on Arabia per Germany's request.

Turn 10 (346)

Sabotage the Security Bureau in Konigsberg. GM born in Lisboa.

Next player: Steal Biology from Germany. Steal Railroad from Germany of Scandanavia (set points to Scandanavia if you want to steal from them)
