Sudden Lag

I'm having serious lag problems, when i first bought the retail version of the game, there was absolutely no lag, i could easily run a game with everything max in 30-40fps, but some months later, the game has a annoying 1-3fps lag.
In case you want to help me, my PC specs are:
NVIDIA Geforce 7025/Nforce 630a
AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 270 Processor
3.1GB Ram
Windows 7 32Bits

It is far more likely that something changed about your computer than that something changed about your game. My suggestion is to check for something running in the background.

Is there lag if you start a new game? It is possible that an old game gets laggy as the game state gets more complex as turns progress.

Tried with nothing running on background but still lags.

Yes, the lag begins right after the New game load

Try moving the documents civ (and BtS) folders to the desktop. Game will recreate new folders.
If it works, then good, if not, delete the newly generated folders and replace with the ones from desktop.
