Maybe I am the only one who has this problem, but it is very confusing to me to be reading strategy & tips posts, or general game discussions, and suddenly realize that the reason I have no clue what they are talking about is not because I'm an idiot or a newbie (for a change) but because they are talking about PTW and I only have Civ III. I'd be happy to elaborate, but hopefully just the bare statement makes sense. It seems to me that PTW is different enough to have its own section, as Civ, Civ II, and Civ III do.

It gets rather frustrating to be reading along and think: "Wow, cool! I gotta try that (unit, civ, strategy, option, etc.) !! .." and then realize that what they are talking about only exists in PTW.

I'm sorry, heikeott, but I don't think this is a good idea. A great majority of civ discussions apply to both PTW and classic CivIII. Separating the two will only result in a proliferation of forums and a proliferation of wrongly posted comments.

IMO, a better solution to the problem is if people would be more careful to identify PTW-specific threads as such - by using PTW in the subject line, for example.

Well, excuse me while I crawl back under my rock.
