Hey there jdog, I really love the Revolution mod. It's really the only way I play Civ anymore.
I do have a suggestion for a possible new feature to add to it that came to me as I was reading. It involves the addition of marriages of royal families between two nations to strengthen relations or perhaps not. It's sort of similar to the random event, but a little more in depth. It could be similar to an ancient defensive pact, but instead of automatically declaring war, there could be a pop-up that lets you know that the other nation is at war and asks whether or not you will declare war. Of course, saying no would seriously damage relations.
There could be an event similar to the current one where you give up power to a successor for a number of turns, but instead of a successor, if the relationship is strong enough, power could be given to the other nation for a number of turns. That would be kind of a mix between a succession and a vassal state, in that power would be lost for a number of turns for one nation, and the revolution status for the cities changing sides would become worse, while the original cities would become better as a result of an expanding power.
This is just what i was thinking.
Thanks again for the mod! Great job!
